Nathan Siegel, MHC-LP

You Don’t Have to Live With These Worries Forever

My name is Nathan, and I’m an OCD and anxiety therapist. I specialize in working with kids, teens, and young adults.

Clients who come to me have often spent weeks, months, or even years struggling with endless “what if?” questions that take up a lot of time, get in the way of their daily life, and that they can never seem to answer. Many struggle with compulsive behaviors that might briefly make their anxiety go down, but just make things worse in the long run. Others struggle with panic attacks and physical symptoms of anxiety.

They come to therapy feeling trapped in cycles of anxiety that they cannot find a way out of on their own.

For some, after struggling for a long time, it’s hard to imagine how things could get better. With the right strategies, OCD is enormously treatable. I use evidence-based strategies, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (ICBT) with the goal of providing precise, effective treatment that helps people feel better faster.

Some of the clients who come to me…

  • Have just gotten an OCD diagnosis from a primary care doctor or other provider and are looking for tailored treatment.

  • Have recently learned about OCD online or from social media. This has allowed them to finally begin to understand their symptoms, and they reach out looking for support.

  • Are wondering if their symptoms can be explained by OCD and want help figuring it out.

  • Are parents or caregivers who have questions about changes in their child’s behavior, such as needing to repeat certain words or phrases, do things in a repetitive way, or requesting that parents reassure them over and over about new worries.

  • Others struggle with other kinds of significant anxiety, such as frequent panic attacks, near-constant worry about life stressors, or social anxiety.
