Groups

I am excited to be launching two new groups in 2026:

  • A rolling ERP skills and support group for adults with OCD, launching in January

  • A 6-week skills and support group for parents and caregivers of children with OCD or anxiety, launching in March

Group FAQs

  • Group therapy is an excellent complement to individual therapy and can also be helpful as a standalone experience.

Group therapy has a few unique benefits: it allows you to connect with others in a similar situation, helping you feel seen and heard; you have the chance to learn new perspectives from others; you learn new skills in a group, increasing accountability; and it offers a safe, structured space to share your own experience. It also generally has a lower cost than individual therapy.

The ERP skills and support group is a great fit for adults who have completed ERP therapy in the past, or are currently engaging in ERP treatment. Sign up here.

The group for parents and caregivers of children with anxiety and OCD is a time-limited, 6-week group offering a chance to connect with other parents as well as concrete skills to support your children without giving into their anxiety. Sign up here.

  • The ERP skills and support group meets virtually, every week at 6pm on Wednesdays for 60 minutes, beginning 1/22. Participants initially sign up for at least four sessions, and then commit to future sessions two at a time. This allows for continuity from one week to the next, and the chance to build trust with other group members.

The group for parents and caregivers is a time-limited, 6-week group that follows a curriculum that builds on itself each week. The group meets virtually on Tuesdays at 6pm for 75 minutes, beginning 3/10. Participants commit to all six weeks.

  • At the outset of group therapy, norms for protecting each others’ confidentiality and supporting one another are established. As the facilitator, I commit to protecting each participants’ confidentiality and not sharing their information outside of session. Likewise, participants are expected to respect the confidentiality of their fellow participants. This allows for building a supportive environment that is most helpful to everyone.

  • This is a very common concern for people new to group therapy. Many are heartened to know that this exact concern is shared by other group members. As with most things, some small amount of initial awkwardness is to be expected and is natural. That said, most participants find that the getting to know others with shared experience is a powerful and positive benefit of group therapy and far outweighs any initial awkwardness. Many express that this is the first time they have felt truly understood in their experience of OCD or anxiety.

  • If you still have questions, please reach out via the groups sign up form and I’ll get back to you within 48 hours. Filling out this form does not commit you to signing up. It is a great way to ask questions and see if groups are right for you.
